Sidebar plays a key role in making the website to be navigable, as such, your visitors will have a good user experience and will not leave the site immediately.
Should navbar be on left or right?
Menus and navigation have traditionally been on the left, but many sites choose to put them on the right so that the content can have focus (on the left). So even on PC's there is no clear side which navigation should be on.
