Most ATMs do not take coins. If you want to deposit coins, you'll need to go into a branch and deposit them with a teller.

How do ATMs determine which denominations dispense?
To enable the ATM to understand what denomination is available and in which cassette, the cassettes need 'calibration', based on the length, breadth, thickness of the notes they are supposed to hold. This is done by trained technicians either at the ATM factory or at the ATM site.
What happens if an ATM doesn't have enough money?
If an ATM doesn't have enough money, what happens? While this is not the same as an ATM failing to dispense, there may be times when the ATM doesn't have enough cash left to fulfill your request. In that case, the ATM will let you know that it has insufficient funds and will deny the transaction.
