How do I add a language switcher to WordPress?

Adding language switcher to your WordPress navigation menu

Simply go to the Appearance » Menus page and click on the 'Language Switcher' tab in the left column. Now select the languages you want to display and then click on add to menu button. You will now see languages added to your WordPress navigation menu.

Where do I put language switcher?

Users expect the language selector to be located in the header or the footer of each page, and they often watch out for flags, “Globe” or “Translate” icons to find it. If you have just a few languages, a drop-down overlay might be perfectly enough.

What is language switcher?

A language switcher gives your site visitors the possibility to switch between the languages you provide on your multilingual site and thus to read the content in their preferred language. With MultilingualPress you can set up a language switcher either via a navigation menu or via a menu widget.
