Is Drupal being discontinued?

In November 2021, after over a decade, Drupal 7 will reach end of life (EOL). (More information on why this date was chosen.) Official community support for version 7 will end, along with support provided by the Drupal Association on Drupal.org.

What are the three types of Drupal modules?

There are three different types of Drupal modules – core, contributed, and custom. Core modules are included with your original Drupal download and can be turned on or off without the need to download any additional components. Contributed modules must be downloaded independently and added to your website.
