How to differentiate between dismiss and delete
- Delete - remove the records completely, with no option to restore them.
- Dismiss - hide the records from the review screen, but keep the record in the system.
Does dismiss mean delete?
Dismiss means to let go. If a judge dismisses a case, it means he's saying it has no merit, and is throwing it out of court. If you are dismissed from your job, it means you've been fired.
What is the difference between delete and remove?
Remove and Delete are defined quite similarly, but the main difference between them is that delete means erase (i.e. rendered nonexistent or nonrecoverable), while remove denotes take away and set aside (but kept in existence).
