What is touch screen UI?
A touchscreen GUI is a graphical user interface operated by fingertips or a stylus. This can be a PC or laptop or on a handheld device like a tablet. Touchscreen GUIs are becoming increasingly commonplace in medical settings and offer a range of benefits to health care professionals and patients alike.
What are the considerations that engineers have to make when creating a product with a touchscreen?
Spacing: Space elements far enough apart to avoid them accidentally being pressed. There should be at least 1 to 2 mm (0.04 to 0.08 in.) of space between each element. Make critical elements larger: Errors tend to increase as touch areas get smaller, so don't use undersized buttons for important trigger elements.
