What is a better word for user experience?
The term "usability" pre-dates the term "user experience". Part of the reason the terms are often used interchangeably is that, as a practical matter, a user will, at a minimum, require sufficient usability to accomplish a task while the feelings of the user may be less important, even to the user themselves.
What is the term user experience?
Definition: User Experience refers to the feeling users experience when using a product, application, system, or service. It is a broad term that can cover anything from how well the user can navigate the product, how easy it is to use, how relevant the content displayed is etc.
Do you say UX or user experience?
Saying the first syllable of each word User Experience sounds like UX. Apple has a job listing for a UI/UX Developer (at the time of this posting). If they really did coin the term "User Experience" using the initials UE back in 1995 they seem to agree that UX is the term professionals understand and use today.
