What are the key things to consider when selecting participants for a user research study?
In most projects, at the minimum, you need to consider the age group of your participants, their geographical location, as well as if there is any specific type of experience they should or should not have.
Who are the right participants for usability testing?
For diagnostic usability testing, six to eight users of a given target audience are usually enough to uncover the major problems in a product. Note: If you plan to do iterative (repeated) usability testing over the course of developing the site, you will need to recruit a new group for each test.
