What is a user need?
'User needs' are the needs that a user has of a service, and which that service must satisfy for the user to get the right outcome for them. Services designed around users and their needs: are more likely to be used. help more people get the right outcome for them - and so achieve their policy intent.
What are the types of needs for users?
I usually distinguish between three types of user needs: immediate user needs, perceived user needs, and latent user needs. These three types of user needs are briefly introduced next.
What is user needs analysis?
User needs analysis is the title given to any piece of research that concentrates on extracting actual need over elements such as perception. It is a means of questioning those who use your product and/or services to assess whether or not their physical, practical, financial, or emotional needs are being met.
